Digital Marketing for Trades in Melbourne

Trades live or die on local search and Google reviews. When someone needs a plumber, an electrician or a builder, they search, they look at the top three map results, and they call one of them. Everything else is a distant second.

Why the map pack is the whole game

For most trades, the three businesses shown in the map results take the significant majority of the calls. Position four is a long way behind position three, and page two may as well not exist. That concentration is brutal, and it also makes the job clear: get into those three positions for the suburbs you actually service.

What decides it is not mysterious. Proximity to the searcher, how complete and active your Google Business Profile is, how many recent reviews you have and whether you reply to them, whether your business details match everywhere they appear online, and whether your website has real pages for the services and suburbs you cover. Most trades do one or two of those and wonder why the phone is quiet.

What we do for trades

Local visibility first, because that is where the calls are.

Google Business Profile

Full optimisation: categories, services, service areas, photos, and regular posts. The single highest-leverage asset a trade has, and the most commonly neglected.

Reviews that keep coming

A simple system for asking at the right moment, plus replies to every review. Recency matters as much as the total, so a steady trickle beats a burst.

Service and suburb pages

Real pages for what you do and where you do it, written properly. Not fifty thin pages with the suburb name swapped, which stopped working years ago.

Why lean delivery suits this work

A traditional retainer pays for a team and the office above it. For a business with a defined market and a specific buyer, most of that structure is overhead you never see the benefit of. Here is the difference in plain terms.

 Traditional agencyDizian
Monthly fee$1,500 to $3,000Competitive, delivery is AI-enabled
Who does the workAccount manager, delivery by juniorsOne experienced expert, AI doing the manual layers
Minimum termCommonly a fixed lock-in30 day terms, no lock-in
Where the fee goesWork plus team and office overheadWork plus tooling, with the difference free for media
This is not a discount. It is a leaner way of delivering the same work, and what it frees up goes into your media budget rather than our overhead. That is where it turns into leads.

Melbourne and the South-East

We are Melbourne based and a good share of our work sits in the South-East: Dandenong South, Clayton, Moorabbin, Braeside and Keysborough. Being AI-led rather than office-led means distance adds neither cost nor lag, so the same work happens whether you are in Braeside or Ballarat. If you would rather talk it through in person and you are local, that works too.

FAQ

1.

How do I get into the Google map pack?

Complete and actively maintain your Google Business Profile, gather recent reviews and reply to them, keep your name, address and phone number identical everywhere online, and have genuine pages on your site for your services and areas. Proximity to the searcher also matters and you cannot change it, which is why suburb targeting has to be realistic.

2.

Do I need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?

Yes. The profile gets you seen; the website is where people decide whether to call. It also feeds the profile's rankings, because Google reads your site to work out what you do and where. A profile with no website behind it caps out quickly.

3.

How many reviews do I need?

More than your nearest competitors, and recent. A steady flow of new reviews signals an active business better than a large total from three years ago. Reply to all of them, including the unhappy ones, because prospects read the replies as closely as the reviews.

4.

Should I run Google Ads as well as SEO?

For most trades, yes, at least early. Ads produce calls while the local SEO builds, and the search-term data tells you which jobs are actually worth chasing. As the map pack positions improve, many trades wind the ad spend back.

brands that drive us

"We found Dizian through a trusted referral, and I’m glad we did. Before engaging Alex, our SEO and Google Ads were honestly in a mess. There was no clear structure, money was being spent without clarity, and campaigns were being tested without a proper strategy. Alex came in, reviewed everything thoroughly, and cleaned up a lot of loose ends. He brought structure, accountability, and clarity to our digital marketing. It immediately removed the headache of wasted ad spend and uncertainty. Unlike many SEO agencies out there, Dizian genuinely takes the time to understand the client’s requirements, the products, and the overall business model. Alex didn’t apply a generic template — he took the time to understand what we do and aligned the strategy accordingly. What stands out most to me is Alex’s integrity and character. He is trustworthy, transparent, and genuinely committed to helping his clients succeed. His depth of knowledge and experience is strong."
